Archive for November, 2009

I didn’t quite manage to rustle up a full Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings on Thursday so had to settle for a turkey bagel instead. I’ve made a start on some of the more long-running list things like starting to read Sense and Sensibility (only 9 more books to read after that) and picking the films I’m going to watch (no rom-coms unfortunately).

Much as I pretend to be creative and arty once in a while I don’t actually do very much arty stuff very often. I’m not particularly great at drawing or painting things but it is really relaxing to sit and concentrate on something for a while and see what you come up with. This week I had a suprise trip to the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill on Sea and ended up drawing part of the building – another accidental list thing yey!

Not that it makes any difference to you but I’m typing this on my new laptop ooooooo. It is purple ooooooooooo. Much as I will miss the 20 minutes or so of faffing about while my old laptop turned on and got up and running I’m excited about my new toy. It is quite dinky […]

As I’ve said before, I read a lot of blogs so when I started my own I thought it might be cool to feature on someone else’s, I guess it’s the blogging equivalent of singing on someone else’s album (maybe I should put that on my list too?!)

After worrying that people might say no if I asked to guest post on their blog I finally decided to stop faffing about and just ask someone (god bless the list and this blog for stopping me chickening out of things I want to do!) and ta-da you can now read my guest post on Organize IT.

Graph-y fun

18Nov09

One of the accidental suprise hits from this silly challenge of mine has been my graphs (and when I say ‘hit’ I mean more than one person has mentioned them to me) so especially for Andy, Tom and any other maths fans out there here is a graph and maths special edition. For the rest of you, apologies in advance for boring you…

Rebecca, Rachel and Kirsty are three of my best-est friends but since we went to University we’ve struggled to get all of us in the same place at the same time. I added this to the list to make sure we finally got ourselves organised. After much to-ing and fro-ing to pin down a date (I usually have nothing going on but am getting quite busy at the mo plus the others are super busy and important these days) we finally managed to get together over the weekend.

Ooops, I didn’t get round to writing last week’s update so this is a special double edition – twice the list fun for your money!

It’s been a fortnight of almosts; I almost managed to give blood but they didn’t have any spare appointments (honestly! That’s not just an excuse!), I almost wore a poppy for Remembrance Sunday but it fell off my coat last Saturday night and I almost wore another pair of shoes but the near-constant rain meant they weren’t a practical choice.
